Skinner said the teachers will crack any minute; purple monkey dishwasher.

Strrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrike!!!

Is everyone coming to school tomorrow afternoon? I know Amy is because she has crappy Type 1 for jerky nerds... I'm in the same boat. But anyone else coming to school?

Also - any reflections on niddeous ghastly horrid assessment last week and this week? I survived and was very happy about that fact. Now I must only do a physics test. Yay!

Hmm... I don't think I'll go. Oh wait... damn I already did. Maths and English... fun stuff!

As for assignments, I have no more at home assessment to do! Yes!! I do, however, have a Japanese and Chinese test tomorrow one after the other...

Also, what's 'niddeous'?

14/3/06 5:14 PM
Blogger Magda said...

maybe he meant hiddeous...possibly...u never know when it comes to alex

14/3/06 5:18 PM
Blogger Racheal said...

Or maybe he meant 'hideous', in which case, he might be referring to his own spelling ability.

Basically I'm great.

yer, well this is what i've been told by my english teacher.

If one says "I am not aware of being ignorant", is that statement a denial or admission of ignorance? I'm sure Racheal will be able to provide me with some profound, inspiring answer. Speaking of inspiration - I would just like to mention those courageous warriors in the eternal battle for justice, our teachers. Brave souls. They're the real heroes.

who are getting paid more than ppl who have worked harder than them...it just annoys me that some really stupid ppl who have become teachers are getting paid more than ppl who deserve the money more than them...if that makes sense.

Blogger Racheal said...

Well I don't know how inspiring I am, but I am fairly profound... Maybe you should do TOK Alex. I'm sure they'd enlighten you.

It's funny that the teachers are losing money by going on strike... don't they want more?

It's that kind of logic that kepps teachers like ours in the profession!

A some quotes about ignorance, found especially for Raupach.

The pleasures of ignorance are as great, in their way, as the pleasures of knowledge. ~Aldous Huxley

A great deal of intelligence can be invested in ignorance. ~Saul Bellow

Genuine ignorance is... profitable because it is likely to be accompanied by humility, curiosity, and open mindedness; whereas ability to repeat catch-phrases, cant terms, familiar propositions, gives the conceit of learning and coats the mind with varnish waterproof to new ideas. ~John Dewey

Everybody is ignorant, only on different subjects. ~Will Rogers

That's enough.
P.S. Is there really a strike? I mean, we got monday off too and there's only 2 weeks until test week.. And alex, what'd u get on physics test?

Meh, it's right enough to me. How'd you go on the test Maguda-chan! I would like to say I didn't fail, but my letters were dodge man!

27/3/06 7:27 PM
Blogger Magda said...

the kanji at the top of the 2nd page will be the reason i failed as i had no idea we had to learn them seeing as they werent on that sheet she gave us, but thats life for u :)
i dont think anyone knew more than 3 of them, other than u, reicheru chan...

27/3/06 7:36 PM
Blogger Racheal said...

Meh, I doubt they'll be worth as much as the letters and stuff, so if you did well on them I wouldn't be worried.

I have a question. Who the heck knows how to write an in-class essay on poetry, because I am dying here. I'm lucky I have two decent marks in English so far, because if everything was based on this in-class I would fail!

28/3/06 7:26 PM
Blogger Magda said...

well im guessing itll be like any other essay...we'll get a question which we will have to answer by analysing the poem...its a text after all
