Assessment!!!
So, what's everyone got?
I have a bloody annoying assignment for specialist which I should really do. It's a week until orals for my English class. I really have to choose my text to analyse (it's so hard to choose when there aren't any restrictions or guidelines). And I need to read my novel for that class too - The Year Of Living Dangerously - it's about the politics of Indonesia in the latter part of the sixties (what a thrilling three-hundred pages!, I bet you're thinking). Nothing in the sciency classes yet, and are we getting something for Italian, Italian people?
I really need to go and work rather than blog about going and working.

speaking of help, can anybody give me some points on this history essay topic: "the first casualty of war is truth" show how this relates to the period of the great war and its immediate aftermath...
i just cant get started for some reason, probably because i chose the hardest of the 10...
PLEASE!!!!!

haha way ahead of u magda! i even had time to decorate it! yay! i <3 decorating!
Waaaaaaaaaaay ahead of you, Magda. Alex wins nerd contest!!! (piew piew, piew piew!)
As for your essay, can you find examples of ways in which information has been distorted either in the process of, or for the purpose of war? If you can find three different types of misinformation then you're set. Like... did Austria-Hungary have an alterior motive for declaring the war? Was Franz Ferdinand even killed by a Serbian national? Whether he was or not, how did the info get distorted and why? If you can find documentary stuff - speech transcripts, news articles etc - you can stick that in and it will look pro.
Wait - why are you asking me about this? You're the one doing the class. You would know more about both the topic and the task than I do...
*sigh* And you expected me to pass this history class? Gosh Magda. I'm glad to see you have faith in me, though I'm even having trouble with this mini essay for English ('Canberra is a city without a soul') and it's supposed to be easy! If anyone can tell me how the f*** cities have souls I'd be happy to hear it...
thanks alex!...i only asked cause the question can be interpreted in several ways
stupid internet! you'd think that it would contain many controversial sites...but nooooooo it has to be politically correct. well sooorryyyy!!!!!!!!!!
p.s. we havent actually studied this topic in class, its one of those random essay topics based entirely on individual research, and on information which is friggin impossible to find!
Well last night I printed of the site of notes for the specialist assignment with the intention of doing bedtime reading. I got up and half-past midnight and finished the assignment. It was easier than I expected. Yay logic.
Also I think that was the first assesment that I've done since getting msn. I really noticed the difference in typing speed/accuracy. I s'pose msn is good for something after all...
